I have an M logo on the back of my m sport car that's a genuine bmw badge. It's from the XM truck. The badge (black n gold) matches my black rims with gold rivets.

For those uninitiated, some people would actually believe that these are ///M Cars. So the saying goes, fake until you make it. Personally, I hate it but it's hard to except when the manufacturer is slapping ///M badges on all their cars as a marketing tool. You see these not only on BMW but Mercedes-AMG as well. I remember the days when you went to buy a badge, the dealership would ask for your registration to verify that you owned the vehicle, but now your can buy badges off of eBay.

But those that know, knows!
