You can test this theory by folding your rear seats down and turning the heat settings to 'HIGH'. This will allow you to simulate summertime conditions for the trunk and cabin components.

Given that the sound is coming from rear right, it's probably differential noise from the M sport diff. This guy breaks it down very nicely.
Capturing audio using a cellphone microphone optimized for 85hz-255hz is not likely. Bass frequencies are usually somewhere around 20hz and at reduced volume. You'd need a dynamic microphone to pick it up. |
