You need to go into expert mode at the top of the screen when in the control unit to turn off the additional ASD options.

If you just do the easy mode switch it does not shut off a lot of the ASD sounds.

I'll give that a shot! Thanks!

I see no purpose for it so yes, it is useless and annoying. Also, switching modes (comfort, sport, etc.) initiates another stupid splash screen that takes seemingly forever to go away.

And lastly, having the entire dash and radio come on, and stay on, any time a car door is opened is also useless. I don't mind some lights coming on and maybe the center dash part of the screen but it is totally unnecessary for the entire dash to come alive. I haven't looked in Bimmercode but might be a way to disable this.

You can disable the mode switch screen in ID8 without bimmercode. It's in settings.

Has anyone confirmed that the antidazzle settings on the OP work with ID8?

Hoping someone can help.

I wanted to code the ambient lighting in my G42, it works via bimmercode except all my 'M' lights change to a single static colour instead of the Red, Blue & Light blue colours. This happens for the bit on the passenger dash above the glovebox as well as the door card lights by the handle. I just want to change the ambient lighting for the vehicle but leave all the M logos as the tri-colours

In the advanced coding you can set the color codes of each individual light panel (if I am understanding from various YouTube videos)

Which ones you need to code and what you need to set them to, I cannot help you with that. I would ask bimmercode if they can add a setting to leave the door and dash lights as default.

Figured it would be something like that. I thought the 'accent' setting in lighting would be it but it only allows one colour so still not tri-colour M badge.
