Headlight condensation issue

My G87 (May '23 model) has condensation in the drivers side headlight, UK spec. Not just a misting, there is actual water collecting on the inside of the lens.
Absolutely nothing in the passenger side one, totally bone dry.
My worry is that the moisture won't be burnt off but the headlights/DRLs as they are LED and produce very little heat.
Does this look like a warranty issue?

I would say it is a warranty issue with that amount of moisture and the fact that the other headlight has non.

The supplying dealer has said it would be covered, need to book it into my local dealer for a pressure test apparently.

agree this doesnt look normal. I have a UK spec too, no such condensation.

in some older E series BMWs they used to say it was normal, but i have never seen it in modern day F or G series cars.

Cheers for the replies.

My F32 and then my G22 didn’t have anything like this, looks like a failed seal to me. Hopefully I will get to the dealer this week.

Known issue for G42 & G87. Dealership should replace under warranty (I have seen reports that people have had multiple replacements done under warranty).

Had similar issue with G82 M4 headlamps. Root cause was headlamp vent which allowed water penetration from wheel well when driven in standing water. SIB prescribed replacement with redesigned vent (small, fingertip-sized rubber piece) under warranty. That said, G82 is different model, different headlamp, etc. .. but there is recent precedent.

Some good news, the dealer did a few tests, including a pressure test I believe, they have agreed that the unit has failed. The car is booked in for a replacement headlight and coding tomorrow, all under warranty.

Went to dealership today and had them warranty mine. Decided to just have the work done next week so will see if the replacement lasts or not after that.

I had my drivers side lamp replaced under warranty as well. 2023 240i.
Now having problems with drivers assist sensor right front passenger side full code the drivers assist collision and lane avoidance works that’s it.

Can I replace with Bosch sensor ?
Much cheaper.

New OS (UK spec) headlight fitted on Thursday morning, looking all shiny and bright again.
Very impressed with the service at Sytners, super helpful, good communication.

Let's see how long the NS light lasts.....!

Strangely there was a Brooklyn Grey 220i parked next to mine when I dropped the car off, I noticed that this was having the NS headlight replaced.

Apologies, using the UK descriptions, Off Side means the side furthest from the kerb, so the drivers side in the UK. Near Side being the closest to the kerb, passenger side.
