Milltek

Milltek and MAD both use 3" connection versus the stock which is a 2.75" connection

So, is the only difference between the Milltek SSXBM1329 midpipe (is this whats considered equal length?) and the Milltek SSXBM1331 midpipe (X pipe) just the sound?

one uses the X-pipe, one does not. the only difference between the 2 is the sound on high RPM

I just installed the Milltek single mid pipe and MAD exhaust over the weekend, I'll post some pics and vids when I get home later this week. I had to make extension extensions for my Quickjacks since the jack points have been pushed out to the far corners of the car but they worked well enough. 😆

I'm happy with it :

Just a quick clip I had on my phone.

Just a bit louder and with no drone in normal mode, aggressive but not overly so in sport mode.

Both of these options are single midpipe, one with an X-pipe and one without

equal length would be what active autowerke offers

Sounds good, pretty tame to me compared to the normal single setup from Miltek seems, do you have a sound clip where you can rev a little bit higher?

I have the midpipe on order from Mike (thanks again, excellent doing bidness with you.) Do you have to cut the factory pipe in the rear? If so, can you use the dimples for a cut? Or do I have to hold the pipe up there and make a mark? Wondering how many hands I need to employee.

This is an educational thread. It seems that Mike has both the X and non X versions of the 4'' Milltek available. EAS sells the X version. I have yet to find a clip of the X version with the stock rear section.

Correct we have both versions in stock and ready to ship, 24 business hours max for orders to ship out

Its not the same but lots of examples in the G80 and G82, the X-pipe version is more popular than the regular one on that platform.

if you are not sure, get the regular version
