Porsche 918 Carbon Buckets in G87 M2 LCI

Hi everybody,

i recently collected my G87 M2 LCI - I speced the Car and decided to go with the base seats because I want an aftermarket bucket solution. Recaro Pole Position / Podium or These.

These seats are probably the best full carbon bucket with integrated side airbags on the market.

I will most likely sell the seats because building a custom seat consol + airbag adapter + the cost of the buckets is not quit in proportion to the price of the car.

But I hope everyone has fun looking at this beautiful combo

Drive Safe!

Kind Regards!

That's an awesome project actually, but in my opinion, why not just get the buckets for $4500? They are heated, adjustable, and work within the confines of the BMW system. I'm sure the BMW buckets cost substantially less than these do and work seamlessly with the car.
But on the flip side, how cool are these seats though? Pretty damn unique.

Sounds like you're doing custom seats altogether, are you planning on turning this car into a full on track build?

Missed opportunity to spec BMW buckets and flip them for 30k profit to someone like Kies

Super cool swap though!

First of all to the BMW carbon buckets

There are a couple of things why I didn’t choose them.
- don’t like the red and blue m coloring
- only available with electric adjusting
- not really a lightweight seat
- costs in EU 5000 € + 800 € electric adjustable

But unarguably it’s also one of the best looking seats on the market.

Sadly here in Europe the Cost for the 918 seats are roughly the same as the BMW Carbon buckets both between 7k - 9k

I’ll probably go with some Recaro Pole Position they are the best oem+ look for me.

Plans with my Car:
more of a track show car
I’m planning on doing the M-Perf. Build
Color matched roof an rear spoiler a little bit 3.0 csl inspired but I will post it here.

I have some cool plans in mind

Will happen probably next month
