Can you fit 4 wheels inside the G87 M2? YES!

I recently swapped tires and wanted to share my experience for anyone wondering about transporting all of them in the G87 to avoid multiple trips or cars. You can easily fit four tires with or without wheels mounted without scratching or damaging your interior. I came across an older post where someone fit three tires upright in the back and one in the trunk with the seats down, but rear visibility was nonexistent with that setup.

For my setup, I used bath towels to protect the car since my tires were new and unmounted. If your tires are mounted or used, I recommend getting some cheap bags for protection. I see this working for bucket owners too although with a a spike in blood pressure. Here's what worked for me:

Fold the rear seats down and place the two smaller tires in the back, on top of the folded seats. I had mine lying horizontally, but you might experiment with vertical placement or a combination of both.

Put one of the larger tires in the trunk.
Place the last larger tire vertically in the front passenger seat.

I live in the city, so I prioritized visibility since I had to navigate multiple stressful highway interchanges in the snow. Was visibility great? Not really. Did I survive? Absolutely!

Hopefully, this helps someone planning a similar trip!

I purchased a set of Michelin tire bags off amazon for $74 awhile back. Same quality as the $235 BMW bags.

This will come useful for track days, and seems you have enough space left for a jack and track days supplies. Thanks for sharing.

Second the Michelin tire bags on amazon. They are pretty great and although I liked the style of the M tire totes….more than double the price for no performance just didn’t make sense to me.

You can do 3 vertical in the back seat (folded down) and one in the trunk then you can still use your passenger seat. I do it for the track all the time.

Do you get the ones on the back seat in via the front door or via trunk? I had 3 in the back seat via the front door once but I was worried about how much I was scraping the headliner getting them in.

I slide the passenger seat all the way forward and then up. I can maneuver 3 305s through there without hitting the back of the seats or headliner.

In F87 I could fit all 4 on not folded rear seats. I put them in two layers of covers, one layer of original BMW wheel covers and one extra full covers. But they were 265+295. With folded seats only 3 could fit. I'm curious if this will work also with G87, but think that 285+305 will be too much

4 with 285+305 will not even fit with the rear seats removed. I can't personally confirm but I did find an old thread where only 3 fit both with the rear seats removed and up/down
