Although less known, Optimate is simply a better quality charger - those who actually own one know this to be true....the children getting their panties in a bind about a battery charger amazes me I had two CTEKs fail in a short period of time. Cheap construction...but whatever floats your boat |

You haven't provided any objective data to support the above statement re: quality. Nor have you provided support of your claim that they're made in the US. At this point, just say "I had better experience with Optimate chargers" because that's all you have. |

What you are discussing here? The man is asking not about maker. He is asking about heating and if its normal or not. The ctek and any another will get warm and even hot depend on condition of battery. If battery is fully discharged for example the ctek and any another chargers with pre programmed intelligence will work at 100% productivity and will get warm or even very hot. This is their construction and simple physics you could not have at school maybe))) another types of chargers with manual set up of amperes will not get warm if you are charging battery at low amperes which is much healthy to all batteries. But you don't know about that chargers in US.

Edit: added his DM because this dude is such a mentally unhealthy person he HAS to be right in his own mind lol Claiming things are bad because they’re made in China / Asia is prejudice in my book. Last edited by ajchoi; 01-19-2025 at 11:54 PM.. |
