I ran this intake from a few other brands, from front top mount to front mount. I live in the last Vegas desert heat, and my car is tuned. I have never noticed any difference between these intakes and the stock one (other than the louder sound of course)

Check your parts. I just received this set up and it’s missing the smaller locking nuts to attach the bracket to the heat shield. Sad Face!

Thanks Info. I appreciate you reaching out. Its no worries though, I wasn't posting this to be snarky, just letting people know incase they are like me and nervous to leave their intake pipes open to the elements while you make a run to The Depot.

I would love to see how well these seal against the hood. A lot of these kind of intakes don't seal against the hood letting hot air in

Some hot air will inevitably reach the filter, but it’s important to note that both the airbox and the filter are directly fed with fresh air from the front bumper ducts.

A significant amount of air also circulates through the engine bay at speed and luckily hot air rises.

This setup offers the best combination of performance and sound for a full open-air box design.

If you’re main concern is IATs, our carbon airbox would be the ideal solution!

I just installed mine and the heat shields seem to cut right in the middle of the front air ducts. Is that what others have noticed?

When I initially installed mine they sat like that. I was able to finesse the shield around the intake with loose fasteners. It’s a bit of work but it will eventually go. I’ll try and get a picture soon.

That's how it was designed.
