First, now that I know how this lip installs and looking at the OP pictures, I am confident OP's problem is an installation issue. You can see how the lip separated in the front while it is attached in the back. I'll explain below and it will make more sense once you see the pictures but that can only happen if the installer didn't use fasteners to secure it in the front. Relying on the tape alone is not enough. The loading forces while driving will tear it off for sure so you have to attach it mechanically to make it secure. My guess is the installer used what was provided and didn't apply better judgment to go beyond and do it correctly. See pics below for what I modified to make work really well. This thing isn't going anywhere.

Took the OEM lip off, here's what it looks like off:

Taking it off exposed several additional holes that are not pre-drilled in the AutoID spoiler. Great place to secure the lip since they're closer to the front and provide additional support. The 5 additional ones that I used:

First problem, I need to drill the holes in the lip but aligning the holes with the bumper is tricky. This is where I borrowed a trick from my home [...]
Fantastic write up! They should be embarrassed about shipping these out. I bought CF side skirts from them and after receiving them they were both cracked on the curve in the winglet.

While I was surprised by how thing it is, my AUTOID lip has survived an entire year on tracks and autobahn without a wiggle.

Is the idea of NOT using the 5 OEM drill points that it does break off cleanly instead of pulling the whole bumper with it as others noted?

Otherwise I'm not sure why AutoID would not just have those sections predrilled (even if just as an option for those that want it more secure).

I bought the same gloss black splitter from AutoID last year. There weren't (and still aren't) a lot of gloss black options and I liked the look of this one the most. The fitment was a little tricky but with some finagling I got it to look nearly perfect.

Over the summer, I went to the beach and unfortunately encountered a steeper than anticipated decline exiting a hotel parking lot and cracked the splitter. I was able to do a temporary repair but somewhere along the line it broke all the way through and I lost a portion of it on a backroad.

I've been looking to purchase a replacement splitter and did some research on other options. The only other offering from a reputable company I could find was from Maxton, and after talking with one of their reps, it sounded like a cumbersome installation involving removal of the bumper and I'm just not interested in that for what I consider to be a consumable item. I also hate the logo placement on virtually all of their products.

Long story short, I started checking out AliExpress and found what appears to be the same splitter that AutoID is selling. I purchased and just received this one, and as far as I can tell it is 100% identical. AutoID was $300 with shipping and the one from AliExpress was $117. Here's how it looks unboxed:

Even the part markings are identical. I'll reserve final judgement until installation and full comparison of the old one. I'm hoping to install it tomorrow and will post an update afterwards.

I wish someone on AliExpress would sell a damn front splitter with no wings.

I've been checking AliExpress and eBay regularly - I might just suck it up and buy the one with winglets since it doesn't look like the plain splitter will ever come around

I can now assure everyone these are in fact the same parts. They are even interchangeable with each other (the way the winglets attach to the center piece).

So with the quality and fitment both being ok, it's probably worth saving a few bucks and buying it from AliExpress. Unless you really want to support AutoID.
