Is this just injector noise or does it sound like valve tapping,lifters or maybe a bad pulley? The beginning of the video sounds like injectors but then they get quiet at 46 seconds and it sounds like a slight knocking sound..Any thoughts?
As soon as the temperature in PA gets above freezing I’ll take it to the dealer, but It’s driving me insane not knowing! Haha

Sounds like normal direct injector noises to me.

Sounds like a modern direct injected engine to me.

As with any engine bay noise, you can try using something like a long screwdriver and place it on the fuel pumps (passenger side of the engine, there are 2 HPFP on S58) and the other end against your ear and confirm that is the noise you are hearing. Any long metal rod should help conduct the noise and help isolate it from other sounds.

This sounds exactly like my wastegate rattle on the g20. Does it go away after the car heats up ?

I won’t be taking it in for a couple months when the temperature goes up in Pa. I’ll let you know when I do though.

This is what it sounded like on the N54. It was the fuel injection solenoids. Nothing to worry about.
