Exhaust valves not opening in cold weather??

The temperatures have fallen now around 0°C and I noticed that the car is not opening the exhaust valves in sport or sport+, literally nothing happens as I switch through the modes.

In my garage the cold start sounds normal, flaps are open, and if I park the car outside and come back after few hours, the flaps are not opening even on cold start. Only when I drive for a while and the car gets really up to temperature, they start working again.

Is this normal? I don't remember noticing it last year, and don't see how would this benefit the car if it's programmed in.

Yes appears normal. Get the car up to operating temp and they work

Started noticing this as well. Recently had a bout of -10 celcius. Once warmed up the valves opened up and all was well so I believe this is normal although annoying cause this car is damn quiet stock.

I’m pretty sure it’s a function to help heat the cats up quicker on cold start. I experienced this in the winter months too on really cold days when my car used to be parked outside all night but it always opens up after a few minutes.

I can't really find a pattern, it mostly happens after a quick break from driving, and the valves open just shortly before the car is fully warmed up, which is sometimes good 20min of driving in this cold.

I have the same symptoms.
Symptoms occur whether it is in a completely cold state or a state in which the oil temperature is hot because the remote engine is turned on.
At +1' and +2' degrees, the exhaust flap operates normally, but when the outside temperature reaches 0' degrees, it closes immediately.
After five to seven minutes, the flap reopens.
I've confirmed at least 5 times that the flap closes when it reaches zero degrees and I have a video.

Happens to me as well. When it's cold out the flaps will close when I come to a stop, but will open as I accelerate ( Sport+). Does not do it when its warmer out with same settings.

Makes sense its logic is probably to try and keep the cats hot and to temp for emissions reasons.

Add a valve controller and don't let them tell you what to do

Experienced the same thing, seems to be normal and consistent.

Here's what I noticed...it has 2 variables, oil temp needs to be at least 85 C and the car needs to be running for at least 10 min. That means if you've been driving for a while and you restart the car right away, the valves won't open despite the oil temp being at optimal temp. You still need to drive for 10 min for the valves to open.
