Hey all...long time listener, first time caller. After several years of planning and saving, I finally just put down my deposit for a '25 G87 today! Estimated production start is sometime in March; reasonable expectations are probably September for delivery. Anticipated spec:

Voodoo Blue
Black Wheels
8AT (not fully decided yet)
Shadowline Lights
Full Carbon Fiber Package

Got my production number assigned with Alpine White as a placeholder for now so that we can firm up the spec options. Also waiting to see what might come of the potential tariff situation. Dealer had an allocation available, so I wanted to snatch up a spot while it was available, and they're being super accommodating as we see what happens with the tariffs. I'm really hoping things pan out, but I'm absolutely over the moon to get this process kicked off. And I'm thrilled I finally had a good reason to formally join this board!

March production is solid. I got my allocation in August and my production starts in 4 weeks

I think you want to 'firm up' your spec as soon as possible, since the build week will likely change once you convert it to an individual color order, which Voodoo Blue is. This will lock in your order but will also put you in a real queue for the individual color. The queues for standard and individual colors are different from my understanding.

Indeed; we're planning on firming it up next Monday. My dealer shared the same sentiment as you but seemed to think that next week should still be fine. Fingers crossed, but I'm also in no hurry if it does result in some delay.

Yes the dealer must fill out a request for individual color. Once they (BMW) accepts the individual color change they will not allow changes to the order.

Be sure of configuration when they submit individual request. You will NOT be able to modify any options. Oy things that are port installed can change.

Scheduled for production normally happens about 2-4 weeks before actual production. Any date before that is a wish. After production is scheduled you can still fall back to order received if the stars don't align.

It's not real until you have a VIN.

Tracking for my black sapphire metallic:

11/9/2024 - deposit
11/24/2024 - scheduled for production
12/3/2024 - production begins (scheduled production date 1/17/2025)
1/16/2025 - final assembly
1/18/2025 - ready for transport

I'm thinking early March delivery at best.
