H&R Lowering Springs SKU: 28616-7 & 3D Design Lowering Springs SKU 1221-38711
Hello everyone,
I'm not sure if anyone here has experience with lowering springs, but there are so many brands on the market that it's a bit overwhelming, and I'm unsure which one balances OEM performance and durability well. Has anyone installed H&R springs? Could you share your experience? Also, since I come from a background of owning JDM cars, specifically Lexus, I’m more familiar with Japanese brands. Does anyone know about the brand 3D Design? Their springs lower the car by 25mm both front and rear, which actually helps to better preserve the original ride quality without lowering it too much. The appearance, as shown in the picture, still maintains a great stance. https://ci3.googleusercontent.com/me...6-bmwG87M2.jpg |

Did you find a price / source on those 3D Design springs?
Not sure their stock pictures mean much or not but they look like a linear spring design. I say this because the H&R Springs are progressive. Not sure if that matters in your choice or not but I seemingly can't make a decision on it. |

For the best street ride, I recommend you skip the regular springs and get the adjustable ones.
i run the H&R VTF and they are excellent

Thanks for the price YG21235! Have you checked out the Dahler springs? I'm got my eye on them but would be a similar price and are only drop shipped from across the pond to my knowledge. They come in a Manual config and an Auto config. My quote was $590 + $100 shipping + Import Taxes
Honestly Mike, if I hadn't installed a set of KW HAS on my buddies F80 a few years back, I probably would but after that install, I simply do not wish to mess with that type of configuration again even if BMW offers a set of them and this entire board loves em. Maybe they are better now but I'm gonna stick with some regular springs for now. |
