Came pre programmed but tbh I've never used it, it sits in storage with my passports.

Instructions are in the owners manual. Search on "key card".

The tray is there if you get the charger or not. The non charger tray has a symbol denoting that you put the key card or a key out of battery there.

I called BMW Genius today and they couldn't say anything about delays, but they did say the car will be at the Mexico port for 2-8 weeks waiting for a ship. Super bummed.

Mine is waiting for transport also. I am ok with 2-3 weeks but anything more would definitely suck.

That 2-8 weeks quote, nightfire , is (hopefully) Genius playing it safe. The 'Ready for Transport' stage can be maddening.
(My car moved to Step 10 'Ready for Transport' this morning.) I expect 2 weeks. Anything over 3 would not be good ... not the least reason for which would be the dark spectre of tariffs looming over us as we all wait for a boat ... and all of the SLP-built cars have a fairly lengthy rail ride to Veracruz to get to the boats, too. Last fall it seemed like Mexico was fairly quick with getting finished cars onto boats. The recent stop-start nature of factory M2 production makes me wonder about that trend, though.

That would be great! Mine jumped a few steps but it was just paint and stuff like that, then was in assembly for a week and now quality control for a week.
