Shottenheimer was Stephen's pick, with the input from Dak and other players. Several reports were out there that Jerry wasnt sold on him.

Anyway, it would've been amazing to leave on top, won SB, mic drop. The rest that followed was just meh cuz unless he repeated, it's going to be a letdown, as that's the main pt instead of padding stats, right? |

In Dallas, his defense feasted on pass happy offenses and below average offenses, but anytime they came up against a team that could run the ball, they got exposed. And same thing happened in Washington. Washington was 30th against the run this season with Quinn. Dallas was 16th, 22nd and 16th against the run with Quinn. All while Washington had the 2nd easiest schedule in the league. Washington went 2-4 in the regular season against teams over 500, and gave up over 31ppg in those games. (they averaged 23ppg on the season). If Eberflus can give us a balanced defense, i would say he is doing better than Quinn did in dallas.

It appears that the entire Coaching Staff is being overhauled with Younger Coaches across the board. This is not entirely a bad thing. But... I still refuse to buy any Tickets or Merchandise until this Team reaches the NFC Championship game, period! Jerry needs to sit TF down and count his Billions and let the Football Minds run shit and take charge.

Jerry takes all the heat off stephen and mcclay, who are actually running the show. Stephen took over the financial aspects of the team 12ish years ago. He has a much more conservative approach than Jerry ever has. He relies on McClay for player evaluation, and tries to moneyball it from there. Think back to the 2000s. Jerry was constantly making big signings and trades, that didnt exactly pan out, but that was what he was known for. Galloway trade, Roy Williams trade, Brandon Carr fa signing, etc. Since that Carr FA signing, the cowboys havent made any big splashes. Theyve mainly relied on drafting and finding value players that come cheap. Also applies to coaches. When Jerry hired Parcells, he was one of the highest paid coaches in the league. Even Garrett was paid top dollar. But with the last 2 coaching hires, they havent opened up the pocket book to pay a coach. Mike Fisher kinda touched on it on his live stream yesterday at the 17:30ish mark. https://www.youtube.com/live/UQ3kPEP...P1TNpPT&t=1054
