Scuffs on car, recommendations on fixing?
Not sure how this happened but it bugs me every time I look at it. Shows up under the light. Any recommendations on fixing? TIA

Need to be polished out, I'd ask a detailer to do it unless you fancy buying a DA and polish and learning on your nice car.

Hard to tell because of the color, but those don’t look too deep into the clear coat. You should be able to get those out with some hand polish or rubbing compound if you don’t have a random orbital/DA polisher.

If I may dare to mention a product so commonplace on this forum -- I've never been let down on things like this by plain 'ol Maguire's Cleaner Wax in the maroon bottle. It has some extremely fine polish in it. So fine it will never damage your paint while capable in a few applications of polishing out minor damage. As a wax it isn't particularly durable, so when you're done so you can put something else over it if you don't garage your car.

Is it from something dragging avross or just bad swirls from contact washing/drying of the ? Or one of those mystery things that sometimes happens?
Hard to tell from the pix but it looks like a normal paint correction would take care of it. If more bark than bite, maybe even an aggressive clay bar would do.

Get yourself a bottle of this: https://www.meguiars.com/automotive/...07-7-oz-liquid
Find the softest cloth in the house you don't mind dedicating to the job. Put a little of the polish on it and go over the marks with light pressure in circles for a while. You'll get rid of the marks and there's no chance you'll actually harm anything (aside form introducing new scratches if you don't choose a soft cloth). Follow up with whatever wax or other coating you like to use. This is easy to DIY. |
