When we say Carlos Sainz is instrumental in the development of the team:

How many places do you think Williams can climb by the end of Sainz's contract?👀

🟢Max and Alonso swap for 2026?!

Renowned Formula One journalist Mark Hughes has reported that rumours are rife that Max Westpan could move from Red Bull to Aston Martin in 2026. The talks are likely to involve a swap deal that would see Fernando Alonso move to Red Bull. While the Alonso-Red Bull part remains a matter of speculation, it is clear that something is happening behind the scenes.

Aston Martin is in a strong position with Andy Cole as CEO and team principal, the arrival of Adrian Newey, an exclusive powertrain deal with Honda and a state-of-the-art factory and wind tunnel, while Red Bull is struggling with issues including Newey's departure, a switch to in-house powertrains and ongoing tensions between Westpan and Horner. One factor complicating the rumours is the presence of Lance Stroll at Aston, who is unlikely to let his son go. If Verstappen joins the team, Aston Martin would have to terminate Alonso's contract early, and Red Bull may see the swap as a way to cushion the blow of losing Verstappen.

I looked at the general photo of the two KTM teams for a long time, thinking that I had already felt the same from some other photo. Well, yes...

The "horses" and "kiwis" got mixed up...

Zak Brown would happily pay for full-time F1 stewards if it meant better, more consistent decision making 💰

The Race's diagram of current Formula 1 teams.

Overall, a good picture in terms of intra-team changes, but absolutely incomplete without a timeline.

It is impossible to draw the same timeline for Ferrari and Haas as here, when Ferrari was founded in 1950, and Haas in 2014, for example.

Or take Mercedes, for example. The Germans debuted as a formula team in 1954, but after 1955 and the tragedy in Le Mans, they left major races, and the next time a Mercedes formula team appeared was only in 2010.

Thus, the Mercedes timeline should be revised in terms of the team's history, and the period of Haas' existence should be shorter than the period of the new Mercedes.

Or take Sauber. Also questionable positioning relative to other teams in the diagram. What should we focus on? The name or the owners? In essence, Sauber simply changed its name, but the owner remained the same, and the real change will only happen in 2026, when all assets, name, etc. will pass into the hands of Audi.

In general, while I was writing, I realized that there is no need to post this diagram, but since I posted it and wrote all this, let it remain 😂😂

BUT: this can be studied with the above reservations and only from the point of view of changes in the owners and / or names of those stables that are currently represented.

There are things in racing that, once you see them, you spend years trying to forget. But you can’t. And you never will. Lap eight of the 1973 Dutch Grand Prix is, for me, the most memorable of them.

Roger Williamson would have been 77 today.

“He sees it all. He slams on the brakes, pulls up to the edge of the turf, jumps out and runs towards his friend’s car. By then it’s on fire, although the flames aren’t as terrifying as they used to be. Purley frantically tries to flip Williamson’s car, but he lacks the physical strength to do it alone. Track marshals and firefighters pull him back rather than try to help. The TV cameras clearly show Purley repeatedly trying to lead them to the mangled car, but he always finds himself alone against it. It’s all in vain.”

Niki Lauda, “To Hell and Back.”

Roger Williamson

(2.02.1948-29.06.1973)

Two years without Jean-Pierre Jabouille.

He was not a champion (or rather, he was, but in F2). He did not have dozens of victories in the world championship. But his first victory is the first victory not only of Renault (a Frenchman in France, in a French car, which is filled with French fuel, rolls on French tires and with a French engine - Alpine is in hysterics), but also of a turbocharged engine, in the finalization of which he took the most active part.

And how sometimes you want to hear the name of Jabouille, and not Villeneuve and Arnoux, when asked: "What do you remember about the 1979 French Grand Prix?".

Jean-Pierre Jabouille

(10/1/1942-2/02/2023)

A funny story about Kimi Antonelli, who will debut for Mercedes in the 2025 Formula 1 season.

- In 2014, at Hockenheim, I was not allowed into the paddock because I was too small. I was 7 years old.

- My dad was racing in the Porsche Supercup. He put me in a trolley with tires and covered me with an umbrella, and in the end, I managed to get past the inspectors!

- Then my dad's friend got me a pass. And I watched the cars for an hour. It was cool! But we often laugh about this story.

Podiums achieved in the 2023 and 2024 seasons👀

2024 was a very different season to 2023 and after a long time we witnessed a multi-faceted and unpredictable competition and in the meantime Ferrari managed to achieve the most podiums of the season. Another interesting point is that despite achieving the most points and wins (overall) and podiums (compared to 2023) in the Grand Effect era, Mercedes was placed at the bottom of its constructors!

However, the number of teams that managed to achieve podiums in the latest season decreased compared to 2023 and it is interesting that the member removed from this list was Aston, not Alpine!

🟢Honda's challenge for 2026 power unit

HRC boss Koji Watanabe believes that developing a competitive power unit for 2026 will not be easy and that there are many challenges for Honda due to the fundamental changes in these power units. However, they are trying to achieve the best results.

👈Honda will be the exclusive supplier of power units to Aston Martin from 2026, which is expected to be a competitive team. Earlier, Red Bull boss Christian Horner said about Honda's 2026 power units that he was confident that the project would be successful because he believed in Honda's capabilities and potential

🇮🇹 Valentino Rossi: When I was afraid of Michael Schumacher's anger!

🔴 MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi has shared an interesting memory of his encounter with Michael Schumacher in an interview. He admitted that he was afraid that Schumacher would get angry because of his old support for Jacques Villeneuve (Schumacher's rival in the 1997 season)!

🗣 Rossi said:
"When I met Schumacher in the garage, I thought he was going to say to me: This crazy guy is here! But he was very kind and even gave me a lot of advice."

❗️ Rossi insisted that he only did Formula 1 tests for fun. He had a stunning performance in Valencia in 2006, but decided to stay in MotoGP and won two more world championships

Probably because Mercedes-Benz only made four 1954 W196R "Streamliners" and only 6 of the open wheeled W196R's survived.
