Powder coated my bi color 930's
Such a huge difference. Love the look. Let the brake dust comments commence!

Love it!!! I think the dust won't be as visible, because on the gloss black it looked like cinnamon is coating it.

They do look better to my eye. I'm not a bi-color fan.
Maybe you should have powdercoated them the same color as the brake dust... ![]() |

What was the all in cost with tires being dismounted and mounted? I wanted to get the silver 930 wheels, I currently have the black/silver 930m’s but powder coating may be the better option.

This is off topic a bit but wondering if anyone has considered just removing some of the black from certain areas of the wheels (spokes and rim in particular) - sort of like making them what BMW calls "bicolor".
Might not be possible but I would guess that a highly skilled body/paint man could do it without having to remove the tires and might even could leave the wheels on the car the entire time. Might be a lot less expensive and less time consuming than a complete powder coating but still provide some pop/contrast between body color and wheels. Other than being very hard to clean and keep clean, I like the look of the bicolor wheels on my BSM M240i and would like to have something similar on the M2 that I am actively seeking to buy. (Yeah, I can order the car equipped that way but don't want to wait another 3-4 months like I did for my M240i. ![]() |
