New Skyscraper Grey M240i ordered
Hi everyone
Last week I placed an order for a new 2025 M240i xDrive in the following spec: • Skyscraper Grey Metallic • Black w/ Red Highlight Vernasca Leather • Harmon Kardon Audio • 19” 893M wheels • M Sport Package Pro (M Sport Brakes with Red Calipers, BMW Individual Lights Shadowline, M Sport Seat Belts) • M Technology Pack (Better cooling and slightly bigger brake discs and calipers) • Adaptive Suspension • Heated Steering Wheel • Illuminated M Accents • Front M Sport Seats • Electric Memory Seats • Carbon Fibre Interior Trim • Electric Glass Sunroof • Folding Wing Mirrors • Technology Package (Adaptive Headlights, Comfort Access, Driving Assistant, HUD, Parking Assistant Plus and Wireless charger) I’ve owned four BMWs, with my last one being a Stage 2 F36 440i Gran Coupe MPPSK—what a beast that was. Had that for two years before deciding to be a bit more ‘sensible’ and bought a 2023 Audi A4 2.0TFSI last summer. Great daily, but honestly, spent every day thinking about what my next BMW would be so I’m super excited to be back. Bit apprehensive about downsizing since my last few cars have all been Gran Coupes or Saloons but the G42 still has a solid road presence and I’m hoping it feels just as comfortable. Now comes the agonising four month wait - delivery is set for June, and it’s already feeling like forever! It has only been a week since I have placed my order and I’ve already racked up serious hours on here, pretty sure I’ve read every post on this forum and FB groups by now LOL. First mod will be ditching the cheap looking plastic airbag for a leather one from the previous models, I can’t believe BMW cheapened out on that. I am also planning to change the plastic trim around the lock/unlock buttons to the silver trim from the pre LCI cars. Other mods include: - Carbon Fibre CS Style boot spoiler - Carbon Fibre Diffuser - Carbon Fibre M Performance Splitter - Spacers (Won’t be lowering it) - Either a Remus Exhaust or having the stock exhaust modified by PCW Exhaust Mods – whichever option I choose won’t come close to the sound of my 440i with MPPSK and a Sports Cat unfortunately - Black M240i badge - Carbon Paddle Shifters to go with the carbon trim in the car Now to survive the long wait until June… |

Welcome fellow UK owner-to-be!
Presumably you'll be south of the border? Your interior is pretty much identical to mine, externally I opted for Thundernight and didn't tick the ZTK box (although in hindsight I maybe should have for the small cost increase it comes with) Keep in touch with your sales advisor for when the vehicle goes to Status 150 at the factory. Get the chassis number and from there you can track its build progress on BMW's chat function (Must have VIN in order to do so). From there you can then start narrowing down which vessel its going to sail to EU on - the current shipping schedule only takes us up to mid May so may need to check again in a couple of months for an update. Once you narrow down the vessel you can then track its movements on any of the marine traffic websites. I've been fairly active over on that Order status and timeline mega-thread so you should be able to get URL's there. |
