Keep a small microfiber towel in your wash bucket and snake it through those spokes; it’s a PITA, yes, or you can go buy one of those foam paint bushes so you can then get in those tight spots.

The bristle will create mini scratches over time and the metal core will for sure scratch the hell out of your wheel. The best method believe it or not is just to ceramic coat your wheel. First, thoroughly wash, decontaminate and clay bar your wheel. After ward, use Iso Alcohol to wipe down, then apply a quality ceramic coating. The ceramic coating will prevent the dust from sticking to the wheel paint surface. Anytime you wash your car with a decent pressure wash the water will remove majority of the brake dust.

You still have to wash brake dust off ceramic coated wheels, trust me
I understand the concerns about a brush marring the wheels over time, I may try this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BPHJ34D |

I assume they’re just trying to get the attention of us Yanks with that $1000 shipping cost - right next to that they suggest contacting them for shipping costs. Another gold star for whoever finds something like this available in the States. |

That said, their product reminds me that you could fold a microfiber towel into the same basic shape and “floss” back there probably just as well. |

This is what I do as well. Probably not every wash and yes it is a PITA. I take wheels off twice a year and wash them from behind.
