193 Status?
My car finally made it to the port in NJ but the status is now 193. I am guessing that just means it's is the port here. It was 195 before that. From what I am reading there is no code for arrival at port here in NJ. Everything else is telling me it's arrived in NJ, just that one status code is throwing me off.
Thanks in advance for any guidance on this. |

Apparently cars from SLP shift to 193 twice during transit; once at the Port of Exit (Mexico), and again at the Port of Entry (where your car is offloaded; called the 'destination port' in status nomenclature). Your car's simply on its second shift (as, incidentally, is mine, in Galveston).
A call to your CA should reveal what stage in destination-port processing your car is currently at; customs, port-accessory installation, waiting for carrier transit to your dealer, etc. There are several steps at the desination port before 196 - transit to dealer - happens.
