I don’t know if it is different here in Canada, but I was told the dealer invoice is 7%. The manager offered to show it to me, I figured if he was willing to do that chances are he isn’t lying. I didn’t actually look at it though.

We split the difference so I got 3.5% off. I think I could have probably pushed for a bit more, maybe 4%. I did get the mats thrown in so it was about 3k off as well.

Late to the party, but, here was my deal I got back in Oct. 2024 on my factory ordered 2025 M240i XDrive. Right around 10.25% off MSRP. Took me about a month of back and forth emails with 4 dealers.

A month later I got a local forum member about 10% off his 2025 M240i RWD.

That’s an amazing deal. But I still can’t wrap my head around the US pricing. I just mocked up my build on BMWUSA, the MSRP is $63,750 USD, but taking the conversion rate into account I paid $50,415 USD.

It’s no wonder when buying in Canada the bill of sale has a stipulation that you can not export the vehicle. If anything more cars are surely sold in the US so you’d expect the price to be lower due to economies of scale.

Canadians make less money and pay more taxes if you account for it in USD, so they have to discount the car to sell. They are making less profit.

I don't say any of that as a knock on Canadians of course, just an economic analysis.

Here is the lease quote I got for $56,125 purchase price:

$900/month for 36 months with $2500 down. I will put down between $10-12K though, which drops it to around $633/month.

buyout/adjusted residual value: $29,000

7500 miles/yr limit

Money Factor: .00250 which comes to 6%

No money down on a lease.

7500mi super low.

Seems like they are not willing to deal, I would get more dealers involved.

$200 one way flight and the drive back is cheaper than getting boned on the sale.

I only drive $1500 miles a year or so since I work from home. But I managed to move a bit of money around and am just going to pay cash.

I'm a proponent of leasing in many situations, but under no situation is putting a big chunk of money down on a lease a good idea.

That's an absolute ridiculous deal! Nice work. Even with dealer holdback which is 1.5-3% on BMWs, it seems like you somehow got the car without them making a penny and possibly losing money.

I think the fact that they are the closest dealership to me and the fact that I brought it up when negotiating, they know they will make it back thru the Service Dept.

Sales departments and service departments, while symbiotic, have very different targets and goals. Coming from someone that was in the business for a long time....you got a crazy good deal, even if it were a car that was over-produced and collecting dust on the lots. It genuinely doesn't make mathematical sense considering what invoice pricing is and what the dealer holdback typically is on BMWs. I can't see a way where they had more than 10% absolute total profit in the car. Kudos!

I appreciate it sir! And not to brag, but, I really couldn't believe how easy it was to get the deal. I went into it thinking and expecting at the MOST 6%-7% off MSRP. I only contacted 6 dealerships in 3 states close to me. The stars just happened to align for me.

Not to knock the deal that is being discussed, but aren't there like 3 other recent deals in this thread with even deeper discounts?

I actually see my 3k off as a mediocre deal relative to what others have gotten.

If you're talking about my deal, I have seen/heard of others getting 9%-10% off. Although I'm not sure if those were factory ordered and/or included any rebates. My deal didn't include rebates and was factory ordered. When I first started looking into discounts, I was seeing/hearing that I would be lucky getting 6%-7% off. I think I got really lucky.

This forum gave me enough information to get just over a 6% discount on my ordered car, now in production.

Originally the dealer had added some fluff (anti theft etching) to the cost but I absolutely refused.

My local dealer did offer an additional 1K discount, but the other dealer actually earned my business with outstanding sales help in offering an overnight test drive.

I just built and ordered My M240i xD…..

Hey Guys
It’s been a while like 10 years from posting on the x1. I have now another case of the new car virus and this one is bigger than covid….LOl

I just placed my order last Monday for a 2025 m240i xdrive.

2025 BMW
2 Series M240i xDrive
382-hp 3.0L Turbo 6
Cylinder
8-speed Automatic
All-Wheel Drive
Exp. Feb 20, 2025
• Zandvoort Blue
Cognac Perforated
SensaTec

Base Model
$58,675
Manufacturer Destination Charge ®
$1,175
MSRP (Sticker Price) O
$59,850
Savings
-$3,000
BMW of Fort Lauderdale Price
$56,850
Service & Protection Plans
$995
+ Stargard
$995
BMW Loyalty Lease Credit-Nat
-$500
Total Purchase Price
$57,345.00

Ended up with $3500 off build price.

Now the only issue is waiting on an allocation as the deal had already used up its allocations for the month and most of march. Im still looking at other dealers here in South FLA but there is only 1 or two dealers that I would trust as the rest are mostly AutoNation or Bramen and well enough said …….

Now my other issue is i can find one on the lots to go look at or size up.

I have not yet seen in person the Zandvoort blue and or the purple as it was between the two. I went with the blue as my gut feeling. Meantime I’ve been searching for m240i car porn to get off on until the production start rolling. I know some of you know what im talking about as finding 2025 m240i videos on YouTube is like trying to find a mega drinking a Budweiser at a gay pride parade…..LOL. Just kidding ….

Ordered an (almost) identical car for my wife 2 weeks ago. Already scheduled for production next week. Only difference is we opted for the black/red leather option.

We got a little more money off but I qualified for military (thanks for fighting Nazis in WW2 Grandpa).
