Def impressive. I hate when they take out the passenger seat and don't run a from the factory car though. Anyone know whether it was Cup2 or Cup2R on the car?

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, which is the fastest rubber available for the new GT3.

you can tell he's using the no-lift-shift feature. keep the throttle pinned and just slam home the next gear as fast as you can.

Love it. Porsche has a good thing going with most of its models. Especially 911.

Figured. They are great for one lap hot laps.

At the same time, the Ring has been resurfaced so many times since the ACR ran...and the ACR didnt have a tire like the Cup2R to run on. I'd guess the Viper, with the surface changes and Cup2R would still be faster.

I always forget I have this, since the car goes way too fast to use it outside of a track in anything other than 1st gear.

You are probably right.

Last year (Dec. 2024) the Porsche Carrera GT with new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires designed specifically for the Carrera GT broke its previous Nürburgring lap record by nearly 16 seconds.

Fun to watch. Seems like missed a shift (should have upshifted) once when he was on the rev limiter a second too long. Easy to be an armchair driver!
