Shen is a great track. I have been instructing on all three tracks for 20years. Each have a different personality.

I love main for racing, but will not take my M2 on it. Two words... gravel traps. Even if you dont go in them, someone does. Then the rocks kicked up will break windshields or chip paint. And no, all the PPF in the world ain't gonna help.

We should move this discussion to the track or mid atlantic forum.

Another Alan Olson photograph at Shenandoah (summit point). This was taken at the BMWCCA NCC track weekend last weekend.
I ran in the novice group since it was my first time. I had a blast.
The best part of the weekend was passing the Cayman GTS every time I got behind him. He could not lose me through the curves either.

2 very different cars. The Miata is definitely the car that will put a smile on your face when you wind it out. It’s just pure old school type of driving. Very mechanical. The car feels so small and nimble. The M2 as you know is just jaw dropping when you mash the go pedal. But it’s a bit of a one trick pony when you’re comparing it to the Miata. However I needed to scratch that itch of 530hp (I have/had((car is now totaled, long story and I have another post detailing that)) the CS tune also).
