Golf Carts- who has one??

So just picked up this beauty a few days ago. Bought it fresh from a dealer in Idaho. Had it shipped to the right coast state also known as the Dirty Jerz... no club swinging here, just strictly for local cruising the hood.
So who else has one? Post a pic!

Yours looks pretty decked out already. I was going to say be careful!!!These things are another addicting money pit lol. Bartender the other night didn’t think I could do a wheelie with mine and got a free drink after this. Currently working on fabricating some sort of wheelie bar setup to be a little more controlled.

I had a Club Car electric Carryall with dump bed for years on my small farm. During that period I did not have a pickup and the Carryall was handy for utility duties.

It’s actually pretty crazy the stuff out there for these. It has adjustable on the fly tune via dial like volume knob for speed and acceleration. A giant lithium battery and navitas motor/controller. Spent way too much money on this thing, but we spend a lot of time on it. 2 yrs ago this was the biggest motor they offered 5kw…now they have a 7.5kw and I’ve got the itch lol.

Perfect vehicle for Hamilton Island. It’s a tropical island in Australia where the only vehicle you can drive is a golf cart. Great place. Some people live there but obviously a large tourist population.

I’d want one like yours. Green and tan. Mmm.

Yeah man! Looks like a gorgeous place! Take a look at Mammoth golf carts. Relatively new to the game but they come pretty stocked but there's some goodies to choose from too.

Is that tuner box universal fit or specific to the brand?

The one I have is good for several brands but is tied to their motor and controller. (Navitas). Other companies have small things that upgrade the speed limiters just by itself with stock components. They have forums that would have better answers than me. Some of the newer carts like yours I know have an actual software type of tune you can buy also. Check out buggies unlimited is one I’ve looked at off the top of my head.

I don't know what the golf carts are doing in your neighborhood to make you want to run them over, just curious how would you be able to run them over? Afterall, you are walking or riding your bike, correct?

A handful of losers in my neighborhood have started trying to drive theirs on the street (clearly not street legal). It's one thing if you're gonna drive them on sidewalks that they're meant for, but don't drive it on the street. They're not safe and they can't keep up. All the e bikes and e scooters are getting bad too. You should need a valid driver's license to use any of these powered vehicles, and they shouldn't be allowed on the roads without being fully DOT compliant.

My friend has one because he lives up in this big old people focused community, and he thought it would be nice for when family came in town and they needed to haul 6 people to a restaurant or whatever. It sort of is, except for when it's hot or raining here in FL, which is fairly often, lol.

The really funny part is now he wants a new car but can't make himself happy with the financial outlay of it because he just spent like $12k on a golf cart for random uses.

Ahhh I see. So in the fine state of NJ (and others) certain carts must meet DOT requirements for low speed vehicle use on local public roads. Here, being a beach town, they are allowed. It really blew up out here the last few years. I was reluctant but after seeing how equipped the new ones are I said why not. Btw, you can't drive these on the sidewalk. I too would want to run them over if they did!

This OP's cart is EXACTLY what I'd expect to see in the Jersey Shore. Driver must also be wearing a tank top, short shorts, slicked hair, and huge sunglasses.

I think we have those too, but most.people.will buy the "not DOT" ones and just drove them around wherever they want. Which becomes a problem when they're topping out at 20, 30mph or whatever and everyone else wants to go 45-50 on surface roads.

What really pisses me off is when they're putting around at 15-20 in a 30 zone that people go 35 in. They do this on the road our neighborhood is off fairly often. There is literally no point because they can't get to anything on it. We live in a quiet residential area boxes in by a few major roads, where they'd be immediately run over for going that slow.

To be totally honest, here in Florida it gives off "we just moved down from the north and this is what we thought Florida living would be" vibes.

What are you trying to insinuate??? Lol.. fyi, I'm as far away from Vinnie fist pumper than you can get. But your depiction of some jersey shore inhabitants is spot on. 👌
