Just placed an order for the Milltek Non Resonated with X Pipe.

I have run both AA Gen 1 and 2 equal length... The Gen1 sounded amazing durring spirited driving but too aggressive/loud when just commuting plus the cold start was awful. Gen 2 is what I have been running for about a year, very tame comparred to gen 1 but still sounds great durring WOT. The gen 1 shot one big pop every WOT shift up and occasionally on downshift. The gen 2 does not do this because of the resonators. I'll report back on how I think the single non res with X sounds and compares to the AA EL.

You'll be much happier with the Milltek. Looking forward to your review.

Is this the resonated or non resonated version of the Millitek mid pipe? Are you also running a valve controller and if so which one? Sounds great. Thx!

I just wanted to add the Milltek 4"single with Xpipe there is no rasp. There is some popping going on at redline shifts, but up to that its got a pretty nice howl/tone to it. This is with the OEM axle back and DPs.

Keep in mind, when the valves are fully open the rear axle section has very little flow going through it. It really is just straight through when the valves are open. I think the next step would be a set of DPs.

What’s your initial impression on the midpipe? Sound, power?

You guys feel the milltek is worth the premium over the MAD one? Hard to tell from YouTube videos if the sound is any different

The issue I have with the MAD is it's only 3.5" vs 4" (although I understand MAD has a 4" pipe coming), and the collector off of the DPs. Buy once cry once

quality-wise, both are pretty good with spot-on fitment.

Milltek is 4" vs. MAD 3.5". The Milltek will have a deeper and more aggressive sound. Whether that's worth the extra money is a matter of personal preference.

i'd go with high flow catted downpipes for the most sound and least drawbacks

I need some help figuring out how to fit the Milltek Single X (SSXBM1331) to the OEM axle-back. I’ve tried installing the two pipes separately and together, but the exhaust adapters don’t line up with the OE axle-back pipes - they fit, but they’re too long.

I’ve installed four different midpipes on the G87 chassis and haven’t run into this issue before. My car’s currently on jack stands while I’m traveling, and I need to finish the install as soon as I get back so I can drive to work on 10/30. I could reinstall my previous exhaust temporarily, but I’d prefer not to.

I’ve seen others mention the same issue online, but no one shared a fix. Any advice or DIY guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Should be a straight forward install, if you are having problems with it, send the install pictures to your vendor and they should be able to guide through it
