Exclamation Help guys, had an accident... what now....

God I can't believe it!!! My car is cursed!!! I got two rock chips that chipped my wind shield at two different spots on two different days (a week apart), then my front bumper was slapped HARD by a shredded piece of tire on the road (maybe 3 days ago), and then I got rear ended by this careless chick on the phone this afternoon!!! My baby is bruised and now got a big-a$$ hole on the rear bumper.

The accident wasn't bad but the rear is now cracked with a hole and my sub-frame from underneath poked out of the hole..... What's even worse, my blackline on the left side (towards the bottom) is scratched and sh!t. Oh man I am soooo pissed right now and feel so bad for my car....

I did all the necessary steps to report my accident to my insurance company and they told me that an adjuster will call me either tomorrow or Friday. So what should I expect from him/her and what should I do to get the money from the claim!?!?!? I know I sound like a noob, but this IS the first time I got into an accident (it's true and I know it's hard to believe). So can anyone help me out here?

Oh and before you guys go
I do not have my camera, my parents need one for their trip. I will post it once I got my camera back..... Sigh I don't even want to bring my baby out of the garage like this!!!!

Don't feel so bad. When I use to attend UNO, my 330 was a daily driver and took the same beating as you did.

- Going up the Huey P. Long bridge one time on the way to class, a large metal rusted rod came from underneath a truck and flew right at my bumper

- I've also ran into the infamous tire sitting in the middle of ExpressWay that comes out of no where

- Plenty of windshield chips/spider cracks, peated hood/front bumper, cracked my (rare) smoked corners all from I-10

- And most recently, a dumb broad reversing into my Vorsteiner hood

With this Hurricane Gustav, I'm pretty sure all these other drivers are a bit antsy and can care less who they back up or run into. Whose your insurance company? If it's State Farm then I can direct you to one of their authorized bodyshop which takes care of Peake BMWs bodywork.

Dude thanks for the reply man. I have AAA and the lady who hit me got State Farm. I have an adjuster called me yesterday but I did not pick up, I will have to call back today. I am planning to use Jay's body shop to fix my bumper since it's Peake BMW authorized. Do you think it's a good idea?

Anywayz, I am so glad someone understand my pain. So I guess it's the common thing that people go through in NO area.... Crazy local drivers..... You have a beautiful car man (still own that E46?). Got more pics?

Thanks man....

I went to Peake BMW this afternoon requesting for the price on the OEM and the M-tech rear. Man not only the OEM rear runs like ~550, they don't even have a price for the M-tech rear!!! The person at the counter was like "maybe we've not updated our catalog, I will need to call BMWNA for confirmation." I already PM'd Even at Tischer and got a quote for the M-tech shipped. Maybe I will just give them my business, even though the shipped price is a bit higher than the MSRP.....

We all should have a bimmer meet sometime once this Hurricane Gustav is over with.

You local LA's peeps should check out and join nostreetracing.org They have monthly meets, auto-x, and drifting pretty soon (next event this Sept!) by Zephyr Park/Stadium on Airline Dr by my work place

Jay's Body shop is one of State Farm's approved body shop. That's where I had my front bumper and hood re-done and they did a superb job! What I suggest you skip that adjuster and just drop your car off at their body shop. Be sure to list all the nicks, scratches, and damage you want repaired from the damage and the M-tech rear you're going to need All they're going to do is ask you for a copy of your insurance and the claim number and you're good to go. I dealt with Brent@Jay's and he's very easy to deal with.

As for buying your replacement rear, you're best off ordering from Tischer (or just let Jay's Body take care of it) b/c Peake suck balls big time. They're gonna rape you with the prices they charge and never have anything in stock

Let me know if you need anything else
