What do you guys like for leather care/conditioner?
So, I do have the Vernasca leather in my 2026 m240i. Its brand new so my thinking is to do nothing at first. But, IIRC from owning cars with leather seats in the past, you do want to treat it sometimes.
I used to use Lexol way back when but Ive heard they have gone downhill. There are zillions of reviews of various products but I wanted to get some feedback here. I figure cleaning it wont be a big issue for a while but conditioning seems to make sense. Ive been looking at everything from Maguires Gold Class conditioner, Chemical guys, Griots 3:1 and maybe their leather care plus a few others. What ya thinking? Thanks. ![]()

Just an fyi. Vernasca leather generally does not need to be conditioned. As a heavily coated, durable, and embossed leather found in BMWs, it features a protective, non-porous polymer sealant, meaning conditioners cannot penetrate the surface, often leaving it greasy or sticky.
The best way to clean Vernasca leather is by using a mild, dedicated automotive leather cleaner (like Colourlock or Chemical Guys) with a soft brush, or simply a damp microfiber cloth with warm water and light soap. Vernasca is a heavily sealed, PU-coated leather, requiring gentle cleaning rather than deep, oily conditioning. Regular maintenance (monthly) keeps it in top condition.

I use Koche Chemie Pol-Star (diluted with distilled water) for general interior cleaning including my leather and all interior surfaces from dashboard to instrument cluser. A brush gets it nice and foamy and lifts off dirt and contaminants that you quickly wipe away w a microfiber. I still treat my leather with LEXOL conditioner periodically

I just found out a Koche Chemie and have some on order - it gets reviewed really well.
I ceramic coated my interior so currently I just use P&S Interiors cleaner which is PH neutral, to preserve the coatings. I use P&S leather conditioner on the Napa Leather in my ‘21 Outback |
