CS Coding on 6MT LCI- worth it?
i know this has been discussed but my situation slightly different
2025 LCI manual with full KW V3 coilovers and race chip piggy back i wouldn’t benefit from any extra power or suspension tuning. If anything i’m hearing some diff and transmission improvements it’s not terrible expensive and around 200 for the flash and i need some other coding done anyways can anybody chime in if they felt any notice improvement in the transmission diff upgrade |

So there no improvement in the manual transmission with the CS tune.
The diff settings are more aggressive but in my case after about 2 hours of back road driving, I started seeing a lot of Rear Diff Lock errors. This could be tracked to a wheel sensor or servo on my car, but once I backed out the tune, the errors became less frequent under spirited driving. The suspension settings firm up a bit and the engine makes power further up the rev range to give you some extra top-end. It’s noticeable - again backing out the tune, I notice different throttle response and less top end pull - and sound, than with it. The power peice of the equation, Racechip + CS tune = no one really knows. It’s assumed the Racechip will just over ride the settings as that what they do. So really you’d be paying for suspension, and diff tuning. |

I am running racechip+CS flash along with Ohlins on lci 6mt and 305 tires. I just got the car back but the weather is still cold so not able to put miles on it yet. Initial thoughts are the car pulls like a freight train at the top end on map 5. I still have to explore 6-7, roads were cold so couldn't really push that much. I will know better once I get more seat time how it all works out. As for the diff, I did add the extra diff mount from MMX for more stability, it did make a difference as I don't see the traction light on in every gear With the added power.

I’ve seen a lot of wheel sensors and servos replaced when I do some AI work on the subject. I’m hoping it’s not a bad diff. |

There are a couple threads of people getting differentials replaced for diff lock errors, typically they do a fluid change first and if that doesn’t fix it they do a new differential, happens mostly on lower mileage cars I’ve seen. How many miles do you have? Last edited by Car00071; 03-19-2026 at 08:33 AM.. |

About 5300; car had its run in service, but I’m getting an oil change; trying to stick to the 5K intervals, starting from the run-in service oil change.
It’s with the dealer now - hoping they don’t tag me foraging had the CS tune. Now that it’s happened with out the CS tune, I’m hoping they can find the issue. I’m sure it’ll get fixed the question is how much will it cost if the S0777 code pops. |

Me too homie. What’s crazy is that the part is on back order and yet I’m not seeing threads about BSC issues.
Maybe folks are having them and ignoring them - maybe I’m just unlucky? I never felt anything different, but once that CS tune was in, the diff is much more active and kicks in more often, as evidenced by the more frequent communications triggering the warnings. |

I had some weirdness on my diff after the CS tune. Based on others comments I chalked it up to the softer diff mounts.
Had the tune removed from diff and TC. Still running the CS engine, suspension, and steering. Feels better than before but honestly still wonder if my diff is wonky sometimes. |
