If that wasn't leaking then no issue.

Good idea on waiting and inspecting again later down the road. Anything small will close up and you will see black soot mixed with water from any leaky area but like you mentioned they will close up over time and those black marks should be dry..
Yeah, love the credit but the idea was yours haha.
Noticed that little dot too, unfortunatly it was when i took the car off the jacks. Ill adjust that soon

I just installed mine. Was able to do it with floor jacks and leaving the muffler on the car. No instructions included, but found install guide on MAD's website anda. video from North Raleigh Performance on YouTube (for G80 anyway but good enough guide).

One part was a little confusing about the dimple on the driver side, it mentions cut the first dimple for the driver side, then mentions cut the center dimple on the driver side [below is a cut and paste of the instructions regarding the cutting part]:

Cut the front (first) dimple on the driver’s side, just behind the center resonator. (Note: BMW has
three factory dimple marks on each leg of the rear pan. Use the center dimple for the passenger
side and the center dimple for the driver’s side as cutting guides.)

Anyway, I did the first dimple on the driver side and center on passenger. Passenger side fit was perfect, however on the driver side, it was too tight, i could not get the fitting to go in between the midpipe and muffler, not enough space. Perhaps the muffler needed to have been dropped in order for it to work. I measured and saw that that the included sleeve clamp is long enough to work if I were to cut the driver at the center dimple, so I did that and it worked!

The larger portion of the mid-pipe did not go in at first, I needed to expand the ends just a a hair with some pliers.

All in all, everything bolted up just fine and enough room all around. I hear no rattling and no exhaust leaks. [while probably not required, i did put on some exhaust sealant paste].

No drone, cold start is on the louder side, but quiets down after 20-30 seconds. Sounds pretty good, quiet highway speeds, and just enough noise to hear you down the street without being obnoxious. The crackles and burbles are more pronounce now in Sport Plus mode too.

We only use the center cut mark for all midpipes now it just gives a little more play to work with. I'll correct that pdf
