for $209 a night and it looks spectacular and really too good to be true for that price. Has anyone been there? I'm really looking forward to this trip, I definitely need a breather before I start the next half of summer classes. I think we'll go to Bush Gardens, I've never been there either and I've heard it's really fun.

Nikki, I was just at St. Petersburg 6 weeks ago for a seminar. I stayed at the Tradewinds Hotel, which is where the conference was held. The rooms were not gorgeous/posh, but if you're just going to use the hotel to sleep, its fine. The beach was actually nice- very clean. But, then again, I'm comparing it to beaches in ny...

My wife and I also drove to Ybor City (~1/2 hour drive from St. Pete) and had dinner at Columbia Restaurant http://www.columbiarestaurant.com/, which I'm sure you've been to, being its a chain... If you and your bf like sushi, I'd recommend Samurai Bluehttp://www.samuraiblue.com/sb/home.aspx.

Aside from the 3 day seminar, I'd say it was actually a relaxing 4 day vacation, and I would def. visit St. Pete again.
