I have entered a point in my life in which marriage has become a priority to me. I realize that marriage (...and relationships in general) isn't easy. I would like to know a few details:

• How long did you date prior to marriage?
• What kind of troubles did you experience while dating?
• Did you experience any of those same troubles once married?
• If so, how did you overcome those deficiencies in character, behavior, perspective, etc.?
• Were there ever any trust issues, and if so, what methods did you implement to overcome them?
• What do you consider the hardest facet of married life?
• Did you and your current spouse ever "split up" for any substantial length of time to allow growth, and then eventually come back together to marry happily?
• If so, did the fact that your current spouse dated others and/or was intimate with others while you were separated skew your view of him/her (..or weigh heavily on you emotionally)?

I realize that I am inquiring alot, but any information that married members can offer would be greatly appreciated.
