The Vantage is one of the best looking cars in the world, no question.
Calling it a "Boxter of Aston Martin's" is funny too because the Porsche Boxster would easily out track a 335i, or M3.

i think he meant because its the most common and affordable model, even though yeah i know its still a lot of money but how often do you see DB9s or even DBS'es compare to vantages? vantages are everywhere!

But to be honest, I don't think that's what he meant, he was trying to put down the car as 'something less' just because it's the Aston entry level car. An entry level Aston is better than most companies marquee car.

I literally cringe seeing that picture over and over again. I even like the color.

(and probably Maserati) owners that meet up at the local Sheraton on summer Saturday mornings...usually 30 or so show up and of course there's the random sightings of Bentleys, Maybach's, Lambo's, Ferrari's, etc. and others especially if you head down towards Mission Hills and the Country Club Plaza neighborhood (kind of KC's "Beverly Hills" pretty much if you've never been). Generally speaking, though, it's mostly pretty normal....Honda's, Acura's, Toyota's, Lexus', and a pretty good dose of the German's mixed in. Guess what I'm getting at here in a pretty much off topic and totally roundabout way is it's no cowtown by any means (I think it's the knowledge that most ignorant people on the coasts just consider us the "flyover zone" that made me do all that writing ha)....very much like Irvine, CA or Orange County etc. just minus the beach and with alot better living costs ha. European cars and Japanese luxury sedans are about as common as Honda Accords and Exotics are not everyday sights maybe, but certainly not unheard of or unseen, but an Aston Martin is probably one of the rarest sights I see in KC. Think I might've seen 4 total, ever, that I can remember. To say a V8 Vantage is a Porsche Boxster is a bit of an overstatement. ha If I had the money to get an Aston though, (maybe, one day...ha) I can agree I would get a DBS instead. |
