College sometimes does not have much benefit in terms of career success so I was just wondering what else I could do so I can have a secure future. As of right now, I have been going to college on and off and I have been there for a very long time because of my emotional situation. There are no short cuts unless you're old money, even then most of the time your parents, trust fund manager, expect a certain amount of work/drive/effort out of you.

Folks you see with a lot of toys, the nice house, the 2.5 kids and a well manicured mistress lawn work their asses off. Just because you don't see someone doing hard physical labor doesn't mean they aren't working hard. Using your brain for something other than watching sports and smoking bud is work.

Finish your degree and NOT just FINISH bust your ass an get good grades in a technical field... It matters, For instance my wife more than doubles my income as an Art Director. How? She Graduated with a 4.0 in Math, I graduated with a 3.1 in Fine Art. Go figure, those grades and the type of degree really does matter.

Not quite...nowadays, kids graduating from college would be lucky to find a job, and if they do, it's a shit paying one. The only careers worth a dime are the medical professions, and that of course requires much more schooling. What are the top paying jobs? anesthesiology, surgery, etc.

Fastest way to get to $65k without degrees is getting low paying job first and learning the skills and become a professional at it.

Its not true that degrees are needed to make 6 figures. Of course you will start off quicker and easier jobs but i think starting from the bottom and learning a skill will/can get you 6 figures in few years as well.

Some peopel will be suprised how much some labor workers and self employed laborers gets paid.
