Wow, you moved in to 55 yards in what looks like pretty wide open terrain. That's impressive! Those animals are impressive too. I haven't eaten Elk, but I hear it is less gamey than Deer, because Elk are more selective eaters.
Oh, and I think you meant "2 hour stalk" and not "2 hour stock." Yeah, if you want to hunt Elk, it sounds like Idaho is a good place to go. My friend hunts Elk in Washington, but the Dept of Fish & Wildlife has had a "spike only" rule for 15 years now. I think he's come up dry 7 years in a row now.....
