Look like desert tortoise? Hey, do you do this as hobby or for living? Do you make house calls?

Here you go. Took me two years working weekends but I turned my old dining room into a kitchen and the old Kitchen into a informal dining room.

The kitchen is all Kraft Maid solid maple cabinets, a farmers sink and granite.

That door you see in the dining room was were the old fridge used to be. In fact that whole wall is gone and in its place is the breakfast bar. The only remenant from the old kitchen is the kitchen cabinet on the extreme left of the photo by the door. That was teh pantry. We painted it.

Because finishing drywall is the only skill I lack we used embossed styrofoam tile on the ceiling - used a lot in the UK, not so much here.

very nice, way to steal my thunder lol

I wanted to do the kitchen too, but 1. I ran out of funds on more priority projects. and 2. the previous owner already remodeled the kitchen. its not super awesome like how I would of done it. but its not super ugly either. the counter right now is a bunch of redish granite tiles put together to look like 1 piece, When I redo the kitchen, I would use solid piece black sapphire granite identical to the fireplace and dark dark red cherry wood custom cabinets.

I choose wood because 1. carpets are filthy. 2. my dog sleeps in my room at night and he is filthy and likes to drool. 3. The house actually has 2 master bedrooms, 1 downstairs, 1 upstairs. all upstairs and stair is in carpet and I wanted to keep the flow of hardwood downstairs so went with wood instead. 4. I live in Fontana (its fucking hot) so wood is cooler.

yes wood scratches more easily, especially when my dog goes crazy with his once a week rampage and slides everywhere with his long ass nails. but I think its a fair price to pay.

the "turtle" is actually a desert tortoise, so its a land based "turtle" and doesn't need water. Matter of fact they can survive a full year in 140F weather without any water. He's like a lawn mower and just eats the grass and whatever flower pedals that fall to the ground as well as any rotten fruit that we toss out of our fridge. He gets almost all his water from his food. So that makes it the perfect yard lounger.

I can't believe you've done this.

Some of the rooms look a bit too busy/cluttered for my tastes, but as long as you like it

yeah i thought your speakers was SBS as well but i couldnt tell for sure since it was so small in the pics. awesome system!

i have the same NSD driver but mine is in the cylinder enclosure. i have dual PC12 NSDs, one behind each of my front speakers. i havent broken any windows (yet) but i have rattled stuff off walls/tables all over the house, including the floors above and under my home theatre. broke a couple picture frames when they fell off the wall and my computer desk, including the one that framed my diploma... oops.

ya I think so too, at first, the shelfs had 1 item per shelf, but then I started to put more shit on them and using them as storage and didn't really clean up before taking pics. gota do that 1 day.
