Any alternatives to Ebay?
Their latest 'promo' code was the last drop on the bucket. Turns out the first 5 listings of every month are 'free' to list ($0.50 avg), BUT you pay 8.75% on the entire value if sold, rather than 8.75% of the first $25, then 3.5% up to $100, then 1.5% after that, like before (or after the 5th listing). Fine with small items, but a killer with all the expensive motorcycle crap I need to sell, so I guess I'll go back to ibmwr.com.
Before that they also put free listing of cars, but rather than $40 after a sale now is $120. And that's going to continue, so I'm not giving them any of my money if I don't absolutely have to. Will keep using mostly forum classifieds, but there're some items that need to be sold on an Ebay-like site, and hope to find an alternative, even if not as widely watched as Ebay. They just got too greedy IMO, and am not going to contribute to make them any bigger than they already are. Thanks gang. |

People are going to try and scam you no matter where you list your car online. Craigslist is free and you'll get what comes with that.
