how's the N54 engine now? possibly leasing a 535i
i'm coming from a E46 330i and i'm considering leasing a 535i. as i was initially going to get a 335i a good 1-2yrs ago i was semi up to date with what was going on. all i read majority of the time were issues of having high fuel pressure pump failures and oil temp cooling issues (some models not having an oil cooler, etc).
have things gotten better? or are there still issues. i doubt i'll be tuning the car just because of warranty and such, but nonetheless i don't want to be leasing a car that is in the shop 5 times a month due to issues. thanks! |

There's still some issues....
However, if you don't know already BMW has raised the warranty for HPFP to 120K miles or 10 years, so that might bring you some peace of mind. Just remember that all these issues you keep reading about on the forum represent a small minority in the BMW population. You know how many HPFP's my SA has told me they've had to replace? Less than 5%. A BMW just like any car, can break....you can't predict what's going to happen. 09 335 coupe, 6K on the clock, and ZERO problems. |

oh that is a good thing to know about the HPFP i didn't kno about that so thanks! i would just hate to have a vehicle that i can't actually enjoy driving if it were to be at the dealership getting fixed majority of the time.
we'll see how this 535i goes. the 330 has had its ups and downs .. but i'm hoping for the best or else this will definitely be my last bmw =X |
