Let's play devil's advocate, if the figures of drivetrain lose is indeed correct and the new quattro in the B8 does have close on 20% lose. If this is how powerful the 3.0TFSI is with it's supercharger then what will the true figure for the rumoured 4.0TFSI which will also receive a supercharger.
The mind boggles. |

Sorry for bringing back this thread.
Did anyone notice the runs were made on 93 octane???? And I'm no dyno specialist but shouldn't the S4 be run on 5th gear too? Sorry if I'm wrong but can someone explain me this part? No doubt the S4's SC V6 engine is packing a mean punch(I love S4's) but I want hp number's on regular 91 octane.

Can't wait for this engine.....Sounds awesome too. There is a spy video from Insideline spying on the next Audi. Here's the link http://video-player.edmunds.com/serv...id=46802533001

APR's dyno is a dynapak, which connects directly to the car's hubs with adapters. There are no wheels or tires on the car, only a pod at each of the drive wheels, in this case, 4. This lowers the drivetrain loss, you cannot use 20% for a quattro car in this instance. The S4 does make a solid 375 hp.

I thought 91 octane was the common one. My bad.
Anyway, thanks for replying back.
