Let's play devil's advocate, if the figures of drivetrain lose is indeed correct and the new quattro in the B8 does have close on 20% lose. If this is how powerful the 3.0TFSI is with it's supercharger then what will the true figure for the rumoured 4.0TFSI which will also receive a supercharger.

The mind boggles.

I could save about $10K in change up front, get the interior color option I want (brown), and probably enjoy the car better because of it.

we'll see what happens. my finalists are pretty much:

335xi coupe (white w/brown; black w/brown)
A5 2.0T coupe (white w/brown; black w/brown)
S4 coupe (white w/black; black w/black; black w/red)

...and I have about 4 months to really decide. next year's announcements, happenings, and aftermarket modifications with those 3 cars' engines will have a great influence on my decision. I'm not going to be racing any of them. I just want to know I have that kick ready to rock when I floor it on the highway.
theres an s4 coupe? i thought s4 sedan, s5 coupe

Sorry for bringing back this thread.

Did anyone notice the runs were made on 93 octane????
And I'm no dyno specialist but shouldn't the S4 be run on 5th gear too? Sorry if I'm wrong but can someone explain me this part?

No doubt the S4's SC V6 engine is packing a mean punch(I love S4's) but I want hp number's on regular 91 octane.

Can't wait for this engine.....Sounds awesome too. There is a spy video from Insideline spying on the next Audi.

APR's dyno is a dynapak, which connects directly to the car's hubs with adapters. There are no wheels or tires on the car, only a pod at each of the drive wheels, in this case, 4. This lowers the drivetrain loss, you cannot use 20% for a quattro car in this instance. The S4 does make a solid 375 hp.

Most of the US is on 93 octane. A few states can only get 91.

I have it from a pretty reliable source that the S4 doesn't make even 375hp. But it is more than per quoted.

I thought 91 octane was the common one. My bad.

Anyway, thanks for replying back.
