Typical american construction method.
Concrete complicates and makes building application expensive.
Also it limits future expansion as well.

no problem with builders.
i just didn't have the time during the weekdays and i was in Houston this whole weekend. will try and make a time out to the house and snap some pics. i think they are alrady doing the bricks already.
