Egg cartons of death

wtf, so i was going to make some eggs but then i saw on the carton it said best by feb 06, i was like holly wow because i bought them late dec, i thought maybe they accidently punched 06 instead of 07, but then i looked at a carton that was still in my fridge, keep in mind i havent lived in this area for more than 6 months, and it said best by JANUARY 02!!! i couldnt have bought them more than a month ago, wtf is going on

some stores do sell expired products. Once I bought a bag of chips and noticed that it was expired right after I walked out of the store. I tried exchanging it but they refused. I check everything for the expiration date now. hehehe

Expired products can be pretty deathly. Good thing you didnt eat those eggs. yuck!!

yea i understnad a week or maybe a little more BUT THREE YEARS!!

That sucks, stores here have to replace expired stock if it is bought accidentally.

dont eggs go bad right away? jan 02 2007 and feb 06 2007 definitely sound resonable to me. eggs are like abortions kinda, right?

Only if they are fertilized - if there is a tiny blood clot like red line inside the egg - otherwise eggs are like, well eating eggs

I also think that it is likely that the numbers are references to days. Especially since the milk in the carton, if the OP is right, would be fetta-like cheese

I dunno. when you guys say eggs, all i think about is the farmer putting all the boy chicks in a big black plastic bag while they are still alive because they cant lay eggs.

I have about 40 chickens in my back yard. The boy chickens don't go in a bag

They get their heads

, and once they stop spurting and kicking, their feathers pulled out and the body placed in a pot with some spices, simmered until the meat falls off the bones, and then you have your chicken soup for the soul.

I know,

I'm going to go eat a salad with some tofu sprinkled on top . . .
