Point & Shoot advice
Is it possible to not catch catch glare off of the the headlight and rear lights with a point and shoot? i mean, how can i see only the three red bars in the lights, like in my avatar? and how can i only see the my angel eye rings, instead of the whole headlight being lit up? the xenons are off btw. i know i know, point n shoots suck, and i shouldnt be taking pics with my lights on...lol. i used a canon sd780is btw, it only has preset white balance settings like daylight, cloudy...cant really adjust it
i got the rings by itself, but the rest of the pic came out dark, forgot what settings i used |

your canon P&S camera is actually a really good one. i would try to get a tripod and shoot at different angles and try the below setting for night shots
Shooting Mode: Program AE Tv (Shutter Speed):0.8 Aperture Value (Av):3.5 Metering Mode:Evaluative Exposure Compensation:0 ISO Speed: 80 Image Stabilizer: On Flash: Off White Balance:Auto AF mode:Single AF

It's a give and take here. If you adjust your camera to the point where your angel eyes are clear enough to show up, the background is going to be really dark. The reason that it is glaring now is because your camera is trying to compensate to the darker background.
There's a way to do this with two exposures and a tripod, also some photoshop required. |
