outdoor speakers

yo peoples....looking for a good set of outdoor speakers to go out by the pool. my house backs up to a salt water canal off the gulf of mexico, so durability is a plus. speakers will be under a covered patio so not necessarily exposed directly to the elements. they'll be wired to zone 2 of my pioneer elite receiver. i'd like a set with great bass reflex and sharp mids and highs. any suggestions?

Asking for speaker recommendation without a price range is like asking what kind of car should I get thats pretty fast and cool looking.

yea i've been poking around on there. any relevant outdoor speaker topics are usually "i own these and they're awesome buy now!" but that doesn't do me much justice. price isn't really a big deal, but i don't want to shell out more than $1000 for speakers that i won't be using full time.
