word from the experienced, i-75 is a dreadfully boring drive for many many hours. if you drive it, you'll be able to stop and see some of the best beaches in the world, although you'll have to take some lengthy detours off 75 to get there. oh, and watch for cops. laser jammer and radar detector are almost a requirement to drive it.

i live near i-75 south of tampa, never traveled i-95 on the eastern side, but i imagine it would be a lot more entertaining.

if i were you, i'd fly, but drive if you must conquer it.

its all good. I was just trying to save a buck or two but if not a motel will do

it is much cheaper to fly...im at priceline and round trip plane ticket WITH economy rental(what i was trying to avoid) is $300 ...if i drove, gas alone would be $300 at least, +food+motel and etc.

so i might as well fly in

I really don't see a problem with the request. There is actually a website specifically for this (the name escapes me) where people can post where they need a room that night.

People can actually review you - 'good guy, clean' etc.
