Exclamation Help with Used Porsche 911 GT3 and RS Prices........

We're looking to expand our stable a little bit more, we have 2 open spots after we got rid of our 08 S600 and our SL63. We are currently looking at getting a Porsche GT3 or a GT3RS. We have our eyes on 3 different cars rite now. I would prefer the RS over the regular GT3 though. So here is our problem, last Friday we test drove a 08 GT3 that had 5,400 miles on the clock and loved it. The dealer was asking 115,890 and only came down to 107,700 after we offered them 99,000 cash with 20,000 that night. They were hell bent that 107 was the best that they could do. We looked up auctions and saw a similar one that had went through an 08 with 2,100 for 102,000 and looked up the prices on Edmunds and Kelly Blue Book and came up with around 90,000 at the high end. I recently found 2 2008 GT3RS online in my favorite colors the Orange and Black and Black and Orange. Car 1 is Black and Orange with 1,700 bone stock no Caron Brakes or Carbon Fiber on the interior, he is asking 132,000 for it. Car 2 is Orange and Black has 5,451 and is the same no Carbon Brakes or Carbon Fiber interior trim the have it listed at 124,997. Id really like to make an offer on the first car as it is a lot closer, but when I look up the prices I come up with around 99,000 being the highest. I don't want to call the guy and make him an offer and have him put him off so that he wont take our calls anymore but am not sure where I should come in at. So I'm looking for you guys to help, I'm just saying that at 132,000 I could almost go get a new one with the new body style.

I'd go on 6speedonline for more reliable information. Not many of us can afford this car. You might want to try their classifieds too.

It seems like their asking price is quite high and almost close to new car prices, then why not buy a new ones instead.

Personally for the RS, at 132,000, I would get the new body style too. I mean the base price of a new 911 Turbo is 131,000. Plus the new one looks amazing.

Those prices are HIGH.

I know a guy here in Dallas with an 07 GT3 with less than 7K miles. He is asking 86 but would probably take low 80's.

You can also get used 10' GT3's for good numbers. People got in over their heads or didn't like the ultra low front end maybe???

A CPO car would be priority for me.

Get ready to stroke a big check for the new RS.

We literally just sold our 07 GT3 two weeks ago. Those prices are insanely high. You should be able to pick up an 07/08 GT3 with 5-7k miles for low 80's. GT3 RS's are harder to price because they are so rare, and you will pay a premium for that. Honestly, there is not much of a difference between the two when it comes down to it, and you'd be plenty happy with a regular GT3. If your price range extends, there are more options, but you should be able to pick up a very nice GT3 for low 80's.

Check 6speedonline, make sure you do DME pre-inspection scans before you buy your car.

Damn man, I took a look at a few and some were not clean at all..

You don't want one with mechanical over-revs!

I know on 6speedonline there was a black 07 GT3 with around 7000miles on the clock that sold for $80,000. Single owner too...
Had a street legal roll bar inside the rear of the car too...

Good looking car, but 100K?

No PCCB's either.

IMO a low mile 07-08 GT3 with decent options should be in the 80's.

Sling an offer of 85 at this..

Whatever you do please check this registry for info about potential RS buys. Surprising what history it can turn up.

New 2010 GT3RS' are still in most cases selling at significant premiums and will continue to as they are going to likely be even more rare the the 997.1 GT3 RS.
If you need more help, send me a PM, my family owns a Porsche dealership and I can help you out the best I can,
