I lived together with mine. We for all intents and purposes shared our incomes (which in actuality meant she kicked in on rent and I paid for everything else). I made a considerable amount more than she did. Like I said, this conversation about paying for women is situational.

If you ask a girl to have dinner with you... you better be paying.

If it is a friend of yours who is a girl, well if they are your real friend there should be no conflict unless you are 16 years old and this is the first time you have had a meal with a friend in a restaurant.

If you are trying to court a girl, like legitimately court her and you can't afford or perhaps don't want to pay for everything. Than you should have dates that are activity based that work outside of meals. I really believe paying for a woman's meal is the right thing to do.

It has nothing to do with girls being whores, or golddiggers or anything like that. It has to do with the notion that a man should provide for his family, and the very first opportunity you have to show that you are capable of doing so is during the courting process. Males bring all sorts of gifts to females in the animal kingdom.

If you think a girl should fall head over heels in love with you and dedicate her life to you because you had a cute smile and could make a few funny jokes, you are seriously narcissistic. News Flash! You're not that funny, you're not that special, no matter what your mommy told you. My father told me something very simple a long time ago and I will never forget it. It applies to so many different situations in life, he simply said, "Play the game."

He's been right. With girls, teachers, employees, clients, you name it. If you know the rules and play the game, you will succeed.

In this case, stop being a cheap prick that thinks he is too cool to buy a nice girl a meal. Pony up, impress her and play the fucking game. Just be happy you're not the one that has to give birth.
