Holy crap...although I wonder how reliable it will be. The Veyron appears to be engineered to last...a very robust cooling system, over-engineered transmission...the brakes took a lot of development work...
The SSC looks interesting too... |

looks amazing but how do you possibly get those numbers from a flat 6, and i hope they beat the veyron by more than that in terms of speed because it seems kind of cheap if they dont, does anyone know if this car is best in the staights or can it also handle the curves. not that im able anywhere close to even think of buying one just curious if porsche is being one sided on this project
EDIT: didnt know this was an independent tuner doing this |

Go read about the 1997 911 GT1... it still has the best performance numbers of all time as far as street cars go in a couple categories. Last edited by 010101; 03-30-2007 at 01:39 AM.. |

Or go read about the Dauer 962. 0-60mph in 2.6s and 252mph from a 730hp 3.0L flat-6. And it was street legal. As for race cars, Porsche's Group C 956 and 962 - the most successful cars in endurance racing, were all powered by the humble flat-6 (with big turbos of course).

Ahh yes.. you've come up with an even better example since we are talking top speed/power. These flat 6 supercars are lighter and have a lower center of gravity than the big v12 super cars. I'd rather have a flat 6. What good is going fast in a straight line when you get left behind in the turns?
