The Pacers and the Blockers

Hey everybody:

Has anyone else noticed that of the types of drivers on the road, they can really just be broken down into a few categories...

The Crazy Racer- 'nuff said.

The Pacer- "locks on" to an adjacent vehicle's rate of speed...3 or more of these create "Pacer Lane Lock" on a freeway.

and

The Blocker-set at XX mph and WILL NOT deviate!!! or change lanes...often times encountered in the fast lane on the freeway.

We all know about The Crazy Racer, but have you guys noticed the other two?

I'm a pacer. I see blockers all the time and i look for ways to pass them but the freeways here are pretty crowded to do so. thus, pacing

no you left out a lot

the type that speeds up as soon as he sees your lane change turn signal so you cant get in, even though if he hadnt there would have been 2 or 3 car legnth between you and him when you changed lanes

the guy that rides your ass in traffic when you have 6 cars infront of you, because its all your fault the 6 idiots infront of you are driving slow (this is ok though if your behind the lead car an not riding his ass when hes going 5 under the speedlimit)

my favorite though because they are the ones i have to avoid most often, are the ones that think that after making a left turn, for the next 300 feet no turn signal is required and they can swerve into any lane they choose (since usually the guy infront of me gos to say the outside line so i choose the middle lane to go by him, and as soon as im next to him he decides he wants to come into my lane with no tunr signal and without looking)

you know i hate pacers, people need to fucking figure out, the left lane is for PASSING NOT DRIVING IN, if your not going faster than the idiot to your right, YOU NEED TO BE BEHIND HIM

The blocker is the subject of a great (although very short) bluegrass song.
The lyrics are as follows...

You're driving too damn slow
in the fast lane
You're driving too damn much
like a bitch
you drive 3 feet a minute
so grab a dick
and fuck yourself with it.
put your pedal to the metal
push a broomstick up you ass.

I'm also starting to correlate driver types and their vehicles of choice...

seems like many pt cruiser owners are natural born blockers.

Inexperienced drivers like the ones teknochild talked about tend to roll the "fixed-up-dodge-neon-and think-it's-bad-ass" type of vehicle.

teknochild: I agree with you 100% on those drivers who make up their mind on their lane selection when making a left turn onto a multi-lane roadway after or DURING the lane change....

yea it pisses me off, and its SO common, especially SUVs with huge blind spots, im VERY weary of them now a days, just today one tried to hit me, single left turn lane to a 3 lane road, he chooses the outside lane, so i chose the middle, i start accelerating to go by him, and right when im 1/4 of his car length next to him he starts coming into my lane... no signal, no warning, this is after being completly in the far right lane and going straight for a few seconds

i had to slam on my brakes (i love this cars brakes) i always forget to honk at the idiots

another one too, the guy changing lanes with no turn signal, starts coming into your lane, THEN looks in his side mirror and sees hes cutting you off so he swerves back, THEN he puts his turn signal and cuts you off anyway like it was your fault

^Nice... That first scenario happens to me daily and ALWAYS like you said: no signal AND when I'm a 1/4 the way passing them AFTER they made their lane choice. My horn is pretty much ready to go these days!

Why is your thread count not turning over?

Congratulations on your 2000+ posts.

(by the time I get this out I'm sure you'll be over already)
