Charitable giving for the hols

Dear E90POST community.

2010 has been a pretty decent year again for me and my family. If it has been a good year for you, and you are in a position to help someone less fortunate, then consider giving a little to charity over the holidays.

A great resource I came across from a fellow member a few years ago is www.charitywatch.org which ranks those charities according to how well they appropriate their funds. Another one is http://www.bbb.org/us/charity/

I donate to child's play every year around xmas

and make a wish foundation every now and then (doesn't need to be xmas to donate!)

I work for a nonprofit and it's always quite amazing the amount of giving that occurs over the holidays.
